Peace Partnership International
Peace Partnership International is forging partnerships with and among government, civil society, and business, to catalyze the transformation from a culture of violence to a culture of peace throughout the world.
The National Peace Academy
The objective of the National Peace Academy is to advance and support: Existing peace education and peacebuilding efforts; the study of the phenomena of peace; research, program development, training, and education for professional and citizen practice of peace and peacebuilding; a worldwide network of peace academies; structures and programs in government, military, business, and civil society for a culture of peace.
The Fellowship of Reconciliation
Founded in 1915, the Fellowship of Reconciliation seeks to replace violence, war, racism, and economic injustice with nonviolence, peace, and justice. We are an interfaith organization committed to active nonviolence as a transforming way of life and as a means of radical change. We educate, train, build coalitions, and engage in nonviolent and compassionate actions locally, nationally, and globally.
The Freedom Project
The Freedom Project's goal is to empower prisoners and "returnees" (to the community) with the freedom of inner peace through trainings in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and mindfulness practice.
The Peace Alliance
The Peace Alliance is a nonpartisan citizen action organization representing a growing constituency for peace. Their vision is a future in which the practical programs and principles of peacebuilding are the bedrock of our personal, national and global interest and investment. Their goal is to take the field of peacebuilding from the margins of the political and societal dialogue and bring it to its rightful place: Their current focus is the campaign for a cabinet-level US Department of Peace.
The Ernest Becker Foundation
The mission of the Ernest Becker Foundation is to bring advances in
social scientific theory to the public in efforts to reduce human violence. The EBF is devoted to multidisciplinary inquiries into human behavior, with a particular focus on our brutality toward one another. Drawing on Becker's writings, especially the last three: Birth and Death of Meaning (1971), his Pulitzer Prize-winning Denial of Death and its companion Escape From Evil, and now on the Becker Reader, the EBF supports research and application at the interfaces of science, the humanities, social action and religion.
